DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. It's a network protocol that allows network equipment to auto assign IP addresses to various devices within a given network. In other words, enabling DHCP on your router will make it easy to provide and distribute IP addresses across your network without the hassle of manual configuration. Dec 07, 2016 · Not really checked the request into the DHCP server. Just had another call about it from another customer at a totally different company. The connection seems to work fine for around 1-2 hours and then it will go off randomly for different people until the firewall is disabled on the machine.
