Connect RT-AC66U B1 to your computer using a LAN cable. Put the RT-AC66U B1 into firmware restoration mode. Power off the RT-AC66U B1. The Asus AC66U (no B1) was originally a draft AC router using the same CPU chip and plastic housing as the Asus RT-N66U just with an additional AC radio. As far as firmware goes, Asus-Merlin has the best performance from my experience, Shibby Tomato has the most options, although most of the missing stuff in Asus-Merlin you can do with scripts and CLI.
